Small Door Signs

Do you drink shop signs?

In this day and age of modern computers, inkjet printers and desktop publishing programs, I'm still amazed to see that the shop owners put little effort in producing quality signage for their stores. Signage is one of the most important ways to convey their message to their customers. Your store name, promotions, pricing, and product information are all transmitted through signaling. Are you getting these messages across effectively? As a customer enters the store, is about 3 seconds to know what they to find inside. What message is sent? Professional signage to attract the customer, provide just enough information and invite customers to come into your store or try your product. Unprofessional signage is confusing for the customer and sends a negative message about your store and product. Common problems include ambiguous or misleading messages, spelling errors or signs that are difficult to read.

effective signaling has the following qualities:

PRODUCTION OF QUALITY You do not have to spend large sums of money to get signs that look professional. That said, have yet to be willing to spend a few rupees to create an image to represent your company. Consider the life of the signal. Exterior signage that should last several years requires a fairly large investment. The shorter the life of the signal, the less it costs. If you are running a small boutique, producing their own short term promotional or informational signs are perfectly acceptable, provided you have the tools and knowledge to do well. If you are producing signs on their own, must be produced on a computer, not handwritten. This may seem too obvious to mention, but I still see stores using signs that have been written black felt marker. Use a desktop publishing or word processing and a quality printer and paper. If your printer and paper are not of good quality, taking the system file to a printer to produce the image. Mount your images at the bottom in a heavy card.

SIMPLE PLAN OF COLOR Do not go crazy with color. Choose a simple two or three colors and stick with it in the store. Choose a background color, text color and highlight color. Make sure you have enough color contrast be easily read. Red on black, while a combination of dynamic power and high, not enough contrast to be easily viewed. However, if the text is very big, bold and cut only one or two words, you might be able to get away with it. Outline of the text with a thin white line will also improve contrast. Also be careful with combinations such as yellow / green or orange, pink and red or green / blue. These combinations can be powerful and trendy, but needs work more with the design to be legible. Strong contrasts such as red / white or white / blue increase visibility and readability.

EASY TO READ Make your signage easy to read. Do not try to put too much into a sign. Some signs are so full of small images, flashes, exclamation, and the small print, you can not take it all in. One main image, the holder of a bullet at one point and few people need in an information signal. A sign in a shop window should be even easier. You need to get your message across immediately as the customer walks, or drives. This means you you can only use a strong image in your sign, a holder or a simple combination of both. Some stores only use one word as' sale 'or' information DIA SALE "in the window, and provide more in-store. The longer the customer will spend looking at the sign, the information can be included. For example, a sign near the cash register, where his client will be waiting for a transaction is processed, can provide details of a contest or policy return.

CLEAR, SIMPLE MESSAGE Keep your message straightforward. Avoid trying to say too much. Choose one main message to convey. Want to tell about a sale, price, product information, return policy? Instead of saying this once, try a sale sign at the top on the grid, the price and product features on the label, and return policy at the cash register. When you craft your sign, write the message you want to get through, then rewrite in as few words as possible. Keep reducing until you have one to five words from the owner. If necessary, write a little amount of supporting information below.

Be careful in a good position in which to place your signs. Place it where it will attract attention their customers, but will not block the essential elements of your store. Think about how customers approach his shop. If customers walk by your store, but his name Store is only placed on top of the front of the store, across the street, how do you see? It is also necessary to repeat the name on the door or window. Sure that the signs do not block the flow of traffic, sign, or view the inside of your store. Check reflections on the window that make your interior signage invisible during the day. You'll have to check this at various times of day to know what happens to the light and reflections depending on the position of the sun. You can improve the visibility of your signage, improving the display lighting inside, and by using light colors on your windows. colored signal stand out, while dark colors recede and virtually disappear behind the reflections on the glass. After placing your signs, recheck as seen from the viewpoint of the consumer. Step back and approach the store as a visitor. Walk from front to back and see all the signs of critically and replacement if necessary.

Simplify, simplify, simplify The simpler you keep your signal, the better. Reduce clutter visual, and focus on more important to get your message across to your customer. You will attract more walk-by traffic, and avoid confusing customers. Its sales should increase as a result.
